Song Adaptation

A little while ago, my mum was telling me stories about the youth group that she used to go to. She told me about a guy who took I Wouldn't Last A Day Without You by The Carpenters, and - without changing the lyrics at all - made it about God.

Ever since I heard this story, I have been trying to find a song that I could make about God without changing the lyrics, but so that it would still make sense. So far, I have failed. But I haven't given up hope, and if I find one, I'll be sure to tell you all about it (though probably on Twitter...)

But it's certainly an idea for a challenge: Can you find a song that, without changing the lyrics at all, can be adapted to be about God?

  1. 'You Are Always On My Mind' by Elvis (though I prefer the version by the Pet Shop Boys)

    1. Just looked at the lyrics, and it certainly does fit. The only song I've managed to find is 'Lego House' by Ed Sheeran, and it only really works if you look at it like a conversation...
